Our House is the Madness jukebox musical, set in Camden over the span of the 1980s, following the story of Joe Casey. On the night of his 16th birthday, while trying to impress his girlfriend, Joe makes a decision that splits his life in two – hand himself in to the police or run away. From this sliding doors moment, we see his Good and Bad lives move forward in parallel, affecting Sarah, his girlfriend, Emmo and Lewis, his best friends, and his mum, Kath. Joe’s lives come hurtling together when a sly property developer, Mr Pressman, threatens to tear down Joe’s community, and his old family house with it.
Featuring every Madness hit from: House of Fun, Baggy Trousers, My Girl, Night Boat to Cairo, It Must Be Love, to, of course, Our House, this show is a jukebox musical unlike any other! With music that will make you want to dance in the aisles, performed by a moving band of actor-musicians, characters that will make you laugh til you cry, and big dance numbers that will knock your socks off – there’s no reason not to join our House of Fun!
