The Grand Café actually stands on the precise location that housed the very first Coffee House in England! According to a number of sources, including Samuel Pepys, a Jewish entrepreneur named Jacob established the first English coffee house in 1650.
Their lavish interior makes for the prefect setting for a truly exquisite afternoon tea but every offering on the menu is worth a try. They source their ingredients from local suppliers whenever possible, which not only means freshness, but it in turn supports local farmers whilst reducing their carbon footprint.
