In Conversation with Ti Mikkel: From House of the Dragon to The Archivist

Join us in Exeter College’s Cohen Quad for a conversation, Q&A, and book-signing with fantasy author and HBO writer Ti Mikkel
Ti Mikkel has a wealth of writing experience to share in this conversation, as she has worked as George R. R. Martin’s personal writing assistant, climbed the production ladder in HBO, and is now working as a celebrated writer on House of the Dragon and producer on A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
Mikkel’s debut novel, The Archivist, is out now and is a thrilling fusion of high-stakes action, forbidden romance, and mind-bending science, only adding to her impressive array of writing expertise.
Speaking with Ti Mikkel will be Carolyne Larrington, Emeritus Research Fellow at Oxford University. She writes extensively on medievalist fantasy and moderated our 2024 talk with George R. R. Martin.
The event will conclude with a short-book signing for The Archivist. Copies will be available for purchase at the event.
