Women in Science Conference

June 13 @ 10:30 am - 3:30 pm

£10 – £30 £60 for Exhibitors

✨ Join Us for a Day of Inspiration at Our Women in Science Conference! ✨

Prepare to be amazed by the incredible stories, insights, and expertise of trailblazing women in STEM at this year’s conference. Building on the success of the last two years, we’re bringing you an even more exciting lineup of inspirational workshops and talks designed to spark creativity, share knowledge, and empower educators.

🎤 Keynote Spotlight:
Our keynote this year is delivered by Ann Childs and Judith Hilliers from Oxford University Department of Educational Studies on “Amazing Science: embedding interesting examples into lessons.”

Students often say that science is boring, or ask how science is relevant to their everyday lives. This can feed a narrative that science is only for certain types of people. Drawing on a wide range of examples, used across many years, we will share how we try to showcase how amazing science is, in ways that are directly related to the curriculum, and are easily used in the classroom. There will be an opportunity for participants to discuss these examples and to share examples from their own practice.

🛠 Workshops and Talks:
Dive into a variety of sessions including astonomy sketching, primary science, getting more girls into physics and many many more – there will be session for technicians, teachers and a combination of both, with plenty of choices, 4 sessions over the day, and many opportunities for discussion and learning.
This is more than just a conference—it’s a chance to connect, collaborate, and cultivate new ideas with a community of passionate educators and professionals. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to be inspired and share experiences – book your space today!
