Booking is essential. Book below \nThis session will be repeated on 26 Apr 2026 \n\nThis practical workshop will begin with a gallery tour and handling session looking at spinning methods and artefacts. \nYou will then have the opportunity to make your own spindle and learn the basics of spinning using heritage breed fleece. \n \nDrop spindle with yarn used in drop spinning \n\nParticipants will also have the opportunity to learn about yarn plying and explore projects that can be done using a small amount of hand-spun yarn. \nAll materials will be provided. \nThis event is part of our Shaped by Nature season of events. \n\nBOOKING\nHalf-day practical session in the Ashmolean Learning Studio. \nTickets are £65 for the half-day workshop. \n  \nIf you have any questions\, please email us at publicprogrammes@ashmus.ox.ac.uk
