a month agoI had such a lovely experience at The Store in Oxford, and a big part of that was thanks to Varun at the bar. He was genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived — friendly without being overbearing, and really easy to chat to. He made great recommendations and clearly knows what’s what, but what stood out most was how attentive and kind he was throughout the evening. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable, and the terrace view leaves nothing to be desired, but no noise bother at all even though it’s right in the centre! An amazing range of lovely smelling bathroom products and free minibar which is just the cherry on top of a gorgeous stay. It’s always the people who make a place memorable, and Varun absolutely did that for us. He created such a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere and made me feel really looked after. Thank you for such great service — I’ll definitely be back!

2 months agoI stayed here for six nights at a recent trip. It was a very comfortable stay -- the room was delightful, well-appointed, and well-stocked with everything one needs -- plush towels, thick bathrobes, good quality bathroom products. The bed was very comfortable and I was surprised that the pillows were also the perfect thickness. The staff were always polite and informative. The rooftop bar is spectacular! And Nicole (bartender) was especially friendly and kind!

Products very high quality. Food was incredible. Nice gym. Spa was very relaxing. Couldn’t fault the place. A very cosy stay. Thank you for looking after us

2 months agoI visited The Store for the first time as a birthday treat with my boyfriend and it was the best experience I could’ve asked for! Chloe made dreams come true by generously allocating me a room with a bath (which was heavenly and they even provided bath oil), the room was spotless and they had written a lovely note and put some champagne in our room which we were very grateful for! The bed was super comfy and the gym and thermal suite were brilliant, absolutely will be coming back!

4 months agoSTUNNING new hotel dedicated to a fantastic guest experience. The Store is as close to perfect as we got on our latest trip to the UK. The festive season is a magical time in the UK and The Store does it up right, from the beautiful exterior decor to the perfect location of the Christmas Market just outside their doors. It was a $6 taxi ride from the train station. We received a complimentary room upgrade with the Spa Package which was a lovely way to start our trip. Breakfast was included with our package, and we liked the range of menu options offered. Do be mindful that many of their dishes are spicy although this is not indicated on the menu. Really enjoyed the perfect location to many wonderful shops and restaurants on Cornmarket & George Streets. Highly recommend The Plough Inn & The Crown which were two of our favorite pubs. Also, a very short stroll to the C4 bus stop to Blenheim Palace (30 min) which was simply fabulous. We could tell they strive for excellence, and we certainly appreciated that. In fact, US hotels could learn a thing or two from The Store.
