a month agoSTUNNING new hotel dedicated to a fantastic guest experience. The Store is as close to perfect as we got on our latest trip to the UK. The festive season is a magical time in the UK and The Store does it up right, from the beautiful exterior decor to the perfect location of the Christmas Market just outside their doors. It was a $6 taxi ride from the train station. We received a complimentary room upgrade with the Spa Package which was a lovely way to start our trip. Breakfast was included with our package, and we liked the range of menu options offered. Do be mindful that many of their dishes are spicy although this is not indicated on the menu. Really enjoyed the perfect location to many wonderful shops and restaurants on Cornmarket & George Streets. Highly recommend The Plough Inn & The Crown which were two of our favorite pubs. Also, a very short stroll to the C4 bus stop to Blenheim Palace (30 min) which was simply fabulous. We could tell they strive for excellence, and we certainly appreciated that. In fact, US hotels could learn a thing or two from The Store.

a week agoThanks to my friends, I had the chance to check out The Store Oxford. I enjoyed the spa experience- there’s a small private sauna, steam room and rain shower with various settings and the one hour oil/ deep tissue massage was very relaxing. Luke, Lisha and Leila did a wonderful job welcoming us, nothing is ever too much trouble. The Verden products smelled great! We also liked the roof top bar and the Treadwell restaurant (only thing they didn’t have steak knives!) Time to bring families and friends to The Store so that they can experience it for themselves. Thoroughly enjoyed and impressed with the service.

3 weeks agoNot rating the rooms due to not booking for one, though the staff were very hospitable and engaging. Very friendly, and ensuring our orders were to standards. My friend and I were served by Vik, Tom, Bell, and Patrik. All have provided fantastic service. Aside that, The Store is at a convenient location, with luxury and comfort upon first impressions. Will be happy to come by again Drinks: - Pillow Talk - The Store With Love - Trial & Error

2 months agoMy husband, daughter and I stayed for one night at The Store in a Superior room with sofa bed. Overall we had a nice stay. The staff at check in, bar and restaurant were all friendly and welcoming. The location was fantastic, an easy walk from the train station and anywhere you might want to explore in Oxford. The room was very clean and comfortable. The reason I gave 4 stars was just because I didn't think it was good value. For the price we paid for our room, I was just expecting something a little more luxurious. Our view wasn't great-we looked into another building and down a not so nice alleyway. We go to Oxford often and have stayed in some equally nice hotels in the same area, but at a cheaper rate. Perhaps it was expensive because I booked last minute and/or there was some event going on because our usual places were booked up. Next time I have to travel to Oxford I will be sure to book way in advance. To end on a positive note, the breakfast was fabulous with some pretty gourmet and unusual breakfast plates to choose from as well as the continental breakfast included in the price. We especially enjoyed the Turkish eggs and Spam hash.
