SUMMARY:BSG Emerging Researchers in Ageing 2026 Conference
DESCRIPTION:Pathways to Impact: Publishing\, Policy and Practice for Early Career Researchers \n\n\n\n\nEach year the British Society of Gerontology (BSG) Emerging Researchers in Ageing association (ERA) holds a conference session ahead of the BSG annual conference. The ERA conference is a vibrant opportunity for early career researchers in gerontology to share research milestones\, practice presentation skills\, learn from peers\, and network with others. \n📅 Date & Time: \nDay 1: Monday 22nd June 12:00 – 17:00 \nDay 2: Tuesday 23rd June 09:15 – 17:00 \n📍 Venue: \nEast Oxford Community Centre\, 44 Princes St\, Oxford\, OX4 1DD \nCheck out our agenda below\, this year includes workshops\, guest speakers\, ECR presentations\, networking and a social activity (Ghost Walk) on Monday evening. The ghost walk will last 90m\, starting at 18:30pm\, please indicate if you will be joining us by adding a free ticket to your booking (add ons) as there are limited spaces available. \nAbstracts can be submitted here: ERA Abstract Submission (Deadline: 29th March). \nPlease note we have a small number of bursaries available this year\, for more information apply here: ERA Bursary Application \n**Closing date for bursaries is 29th March\, if you apply for a bursary please wait to be notified of the outcome before booking your ERA ticket as we cannot use the bursary to reimburse tickets already sold.** \nThis year’s BSG conference will be held at Oxford Brookes University (Wed 24th-Fri 26th June). Please note that the 2026 ERA conference will be hosted at East Oxford Community Centre\, a local venue close to Oxford Brookes University on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd June 2026. Although the conference will be held off-campus\, we have reserved accommodation at Oxford Brookes in the Clive Booth Student Village. \nDue to booking restrictions at the university there is a minimum 2 night stay meaning we can only offer accommodation to those staying Monday and Tuesday. Please note there are a range of hotels in Oxford if you require accommodation for only 1 night\, please do reach out and we can assist as best as possible with this. \nAvailable tickets (excluding Eventbrite fees) include: \n\nConference ticket only (£50 BSG members / £80 non BSG members)\nConference ticket with accommodation (£170 BSG members / £200 non BSG members).\nAn additional night stay can be added on the Sunday evening (21st June) for those travelling from further afield\, limited rooms available\, please ensure you add this on to your ticket (£60).\n\nPlease get in touch with any accessibility questions or requirements: era@britishgerontology.org \nWe look forward to seeing you at the 2026 ERA Conference!

DESCRIPTION:Thames Valley’s vibrant community of Qi Gong\, Tai Chi\,  and Kung Fu schools have come together once again to offer 16 taster sessions. \n\n\n\n\nYou are warmly invited to celebrate Chinese New Year 2026\, the year of the Fire Horse\, through a day of taster sessions in Chinese traditional martial arts and health cultivation practices\, offered by a friendly community of dedicated clubs in the Thames Valley (Oxfordshire\, Buckinghamshire & Berkshire – see https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100079021308282 for more info on this community and individual clubs).\n\nTry the styles\, meet the teachers and practitioners in each club\, and enjoy these ancient mind-body and self-defence traditions.\n\nYin Room:\nSoft\, slow\, balanced and meditative practice.\nYang Room:\nFast and/or strong\, intense and vibrant practice.\n\nAll sessions are for adults\, 16 years +\n\nPlease check the detailed session timetable and select your preferred session number ticket: 1/2/3/4/5/6/7 or even 8 sessions/all day!\nYou can mix and match Yin and Yang room sessions\n\nP LEASE MAKE SURE TO STATE WHICH SESSIONS YOU WANT TO JOIN WHEN BOOKING\, or your preferences may not be guaranteed – Please email daoshuoxford@gmail.com to identify which specific classes you wish to attend after ordering.\nFirst come first served – when a particular session reaches full capacity this will be shown on the timetable.\n\n\n\n\nTicket Options:\nYou can choose to attend one\, two\, three\, four or more sessions (even train all day!) of qi gong\, tai chi or kung fu.
